What is a Container Freight Station (CFS)?

A container freight station (CFS) is a warehouse where shipping containers are loaded and unloaded with shipments. This is sometimes known as container "stuffing". For less-than-container load (LCL) cargo, this is often where different shipments from various customers are consolidated into a single container. 

How do I choose to use a CFS?

When you're getting a quotation or booking your shipment with Panalpina, you can choose to deliver your cargo to one of our container freight stations. You can also pick up your cargo from a CFS rather than having Panalpina organise delivery for you.

All you have to do, is select the "Panalpina Warehouse (CFS)" tab on "from" and/or "to" locations:

When and why should I choose to use a CFS?

If you bring your cargo directly to one of our container freight stations, you save the pick-up fees. Equally, if you choose to collect your cargo directly from one of our container freight stations, you save the delivery fees.
